As 'Variety' reports, he will play his manager John Reid in ROCKET MAN musical movie about his life. You already know that the latest Robin Hood Taron Egerton is actually playing Elton John in the film (and singing too), while Jamie Bell is also on board to play song writer Bernie Taupin! Reed, legendary music manager in the �70s and �80s who also helped with Queen�s rise to fame was John manager for thirty years till 1998. At some point they were also lovers, but their romance ended after five years following the leak of a letter from John�s accountants detailing Reid�s spending. The two would continue to work together professionally until 1998.

New sf shows are arriving to Amazon! They will develop series out of Jonathan Hickman's graphic novels EAST OF WEST and TRANS HUMAN! He will produce the shows himself. EAST OF WEST is set in a Western landscape where America is divided into seven nations. As 'Deadline' reports today, this iconic science fiction series follows �Death� as he braves his fellow riders, monsters, and corrupt gunslingers in his quest to save his mortal family from the Apocalypse. TRANSHUMAN is a sf drama set in the near future. The story revolves around a divorced couple, who ran rival major corporations, offering humans the ability to genetically and robotically enhance themselves.

In other interesting casting news from the movie world today, 'Variety' has reported that Oscar winner Michelle Williams has joined another Oscar winner Julianne Moore in the North American movie remake of AFTER THE WEDDING! Bringing a different take on the original Danish movie directed by Susanne Bier�s this new English language version will have two leading female characters instead of the male ones. The story follows Isabel (Michelle Williams), who runs a dilapidated orphanage outside of Calcutta, and who travels to New York to meet the New York millionaire (Julianne Moore) who has provided money for the orphanage. After the millionaire�s wedding to which she was invited, a mystery unravels!
