LESSONS - by Jeremiah E. Fanjul

LESSONS

by Jeremiah E. Fanjul

There's beauty in struggle,
There's feeling in pain.
For every painstaking mistake,
There are lessons you can name.

No one is excluded
From life's many trials,
Not even a scrape on the knee
From an innocent child.

It's true, most lessons do hurt.
Some more than others,
Some short and temporary,
Some smothering with suffering.

Some beautiful with love,
Like a baby and mother.
Some are a constant battle,
Like sister and brother.

There are lessons we must learn
About how to love one another.

Is it forever
That he hopes our love will last?
He did not answer.

And now my daylight thoughts
Are as tangled as my black hair.

Dil ke chaman me who bahaar ban ke aayi
Fulo se angadaai le khsuhi paas aayi
Chu kar mere dil ko diya AISA ehsaas
Labjo me bayaan naa ho sake woh dastaan

Dil ne kiya swagat achraj se
Rom rom mehak utha uski khushboo se
Fail gayi woh hontho pe banke hasi
Ansoo banke aankho se who barsi

Aankho ki nami waise to gawara nahi mujhe
Par aaj who pasadn thee bahej se pare
Nahi aaye they woh aansoo aaj rulane
Deekhayi dee thee khushi ki jhalak us me

Chupke se sambhale who khushi ke moti
Is khajane ki kimat kar naa sake koi
Kajre ki dharne dekh lee meri hoshiyaari
Muskurakar usne dee mujhe badhaii

Chandani poonam ki rehti hain ek din
Diye ki rtoshni mitt ii pal gin
Maine lipta khushi ke kiran ko aise
Lupt hoke bhee chamkegi yaad kaa sitara banke

TRANSLATION

Like advent of spring in the garden of my heart
Flowing out of the flowers joy came near me
Creating the feeling unparallel by touching my heart
It is impossible to express it in words

Heart welcomed it with a sudden delight
Every pore of my being was fragrant with its fragrance
It tickled my lips and made them smile
And flew through eyes in form of tear drops

In normal course I hate tears
But today I had no urge to stop them
They were not here to express sadness
I could see the joy lurking in them

I gathered those pearls of joy to hide
They were priceless in my eyes
Kohlline in my eyes looked at my act
gave me a look of approval with a smile

Full moon light lasts only for a day
Burning lamp has few minutes to extinguish
I picked up this ray of joy and preserved it in my heart
When the time passes it will shine like a star in my heart

The keys that open doors
are the keys that close them,
and the keys strangled in chains
have nothing but the drama of tinkling.
But the key that dies in my pocket
reminds me it is time
that i became a reasonable woman
who lives in a house
without keys, without doors.

THAT SOMEONE SPECIAL - by Richard Netherland Cook

THAT SOMEONE SPECIAL

by    Richard Netherland Cook

She is the apple of my eye,
The reason that I live.
She is all that I could wish for.
My heart to her I give.

It is for that someone special,
These words that I do pen,
To thank her for always being
My wife and my best friend.

She has the will to live until
The last breath she does take.
There is the love within her heart,
Such good memories to make.

She is the sunshine in my morning,
The star that's in my sky,
And if I should ever lose her,
Then I would surely die.

She stands always at my side,
No matter what comes our way.
She comforts me with steadfast love,
Each and every day.

She carries many burdens,
And her heart is sometimes broken,
By all the thanks she never gets,
And all the words unspoken.

I know her life is not her own,
I always seem so needy,
And asking her to do one more thing,
I feel so really greedy.

How can I ever thank her
For all she has done for me?
I can only give her all my heart,
And love her to eternity.

I hope that when the end comes,
And she meets God face to face,
He will tell her that in Heaven
She has a special place.

A SIMPLE BOUQUET - by Chris

A SIMPLE BOUQUET

by Chris

I stopped at the store to buy you a bouquet
What I found is that it had a whole lot to say
The flowers each stood for a part of our life
And they were meant for you, my beautiful wife

The yellow one stands for a little girl we both know
She's pretty and sweet and always ready to go
She sings little girl songs and has beautiful dark hair
God gave us an angel for our hearts to share

The white rose represents the little boy in our home
There are days that I know he won't leave you alone
He's happy and smart and full of such joy
We're lucky to be blessed with such a sweet boy

The red one's a sign of the love that WE share
Over time we have proven just how much we care
We love in the ways that makes others just wish
And hope for each other with a smile and a kiss

That ribbon that holds the bouquet in a bunch
I didn't get it at first, yet it means so much
It stands for your love in our home every day
As the center of our family in every way

This bouquet in the store, I'll just have to get
The best part of this is it isn't done yet
There are more flowers to add, more times to have fun
More nights full of laughter, and more days full of sun

So the next time I bring flowers, I hope that you know
Your love means much more to me than I could ever show

THOUGHTS OF YOU by Paula Stone

THOUGHTS  OF  YOU

by   Paula Stone

Memories of another time still come
To me and fill my mind, with thoughts
Of you when you were young. I lie awake
'Till the morning sun comes creeping
Through my window shade, as I dwell upon
Mistakes I've made. What I would give to
Go back in time and feel your little
Hand in mine. To cherish each fast and
Fleeting day. To hold you close and kiss
Away, each pain that life will have in
Store and try to give you so much more.
You are part and will always be, imbedded in the soul of me. While I'm
Here, I want to say, that I've loved you
Each and every day and when my time on
Earth is gone.
The privilege was mine to have been your Mom.

A WOMAN'S WORTH

 A WOMAN'S  WORTH
by   Ashanti Holliday

She gave life. She is a wife.
She is a mother and she is a friend.
She is a sister a survivor to the end.

Appreciate her, we don't dare.
Ask her worries, we don't care.
Wipe away her tears, they are invisible as air.

She works cooks and clean.
She laughs, helps comfort, and hides her pain.
When you struggle she pulls you through

All this is she and what do we do?
Complain and create a mess.
Provide stress and leave her feeling depressed..
Push her away and ignore her advice.
Tell her she is nothing without thinking twice.

She was raped tortured and abused.
Told she was nothing and would always be used just for pleasure forget her pain.

She swallows her pride, put her feelings aside.
Does as you need in order for you to be free.
Ignores your ignorance and tolerates your flaws.
You call her Bitch, Slut, Hoe and Tramp
She answers with pride dignity and a complete loss of self.
You call her nothing.
I call her Strong, Smart, Sensual, Caring, Giving, Surviving, Tolerant and powerful
I call her WOMAN!

WOMEN'S DAY

 WOMEN'S  DAY

Its the day to celebrate
Its the day to think
For all that the world have done
To the charming colour pink

They blocked off her way
They chased her that day
They stormed all her life
Her blurred eyes did say

An unarmed woman
With self arrested courage
They pulled down her confidence
With their harsh and sharp image

They found her so helpless
They made her to cry
They turned her life to hell
And forced her to die

But let me say a word
A word full of hope
She made her way out
And learned how to cope

A woman, a mother, a wife
With patience she strives
Caring, bearing and working
Still struggling with life

CONGRATULATIONS ON MARCH 8

CONGRATULATIONS ON
MARCH 8

Last snow spring meeting,
Falls gently in her hands,
Today celebrating
We feast sincere, good.
Today joy with us
And the light shines in the soul of the rich,
Tears in the eyes of the mother -
From happiness. On 8 March.
