She has just been joined in the cast by Penelope Wilton, David Thewlis and Billie Piper. The film will see Oscar nominee Hawkins playing a woman who, after being left at the altar, had a breakdown and has spiralled into a chaotic episode of schizophrenia lasting 20 years in which love (both real and imagined) and family relationships collide.
