Things That Start with "B"

Happy July Y'all!!
I hope you're all enjoying full blown Summer now!

It's the first and you know what that means...a new challenge on the
Lost Coast Designs/Carmen's Veranda Creative Portal!
Today's challenge is ~ #56 "Things That Start with "B"".

Hmmmmm - get it ;)  If we're honest with each other, we all feel like this from time to time.  I figured this was the perfect sentiment for this image/challenge - LOL!!

The image was stamped on cardstock using Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink then colored using Prismacolor colored pencils. It is mounted on a bit of Turquoise/Turquoise Starstruck Foiled Paper which was mounted onto a yellow card base.  The card was then wrapped with ribbon, sentiment stamped, matted & mounted on the card using double stick foam tape and I finished it all off with some sparklie sequins.

Now...who to send this to?!?!?!  LOL!!

Wanna join in the fun?
Hop on over to the Lost Coast Design/Carmen's Veranda Creative Portal

Succulents

Hello friends...I hope you're having an inky day!

Today I have 3 totally different projects featuring one stamp set - Succulents by Rubber Stamp Tapestry.

My first project uses a canvas I made using yesterdays technique of pairing pigment powders ~ in this case Lindy's Magical Shakers ~ with white glue.  The succulents were masked & stamped then colored with Chameleon Markers and fussy cut.

My next project is this fun "congrats" card I made using the hen from the set.  I stamped the succulent with VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) then stamped a circle of color over each image (Verdant and Chianti VFC).  I added the little dots using a peg stamp then added the die-cut sentiment.

I had lots of fun with the final card.  I stamped/masked the succulents with white ink on black cardstock. I then colored the succulents with a fun set of colored pencils from Crayola designed to work on dark cardstock.  There are so very pretty metallics and shimmery colors in this set.  I was totally surprised, it is NOT what I was expecting from Crayola but boy did these pencils deliver.

As luck would have it this months challenge at House of Cards is to use colored pencils on dark cardstock!  I'm happy to enter this card into their challenge.

My Blue Poinsettias

Today I have another card to share made using the Power Poppy digital stamp Poinsettia and Pomegranates. It's such a pretty image, I really like it.  It's lots of fun to color too!

I mentioned last week that I'd like to try one in blues because it's my favorite color.  As it happens Color Throwdown #469 consisted of a couple shades of blue paired with silver. Of course that's usually a nice combination for snow and winter scenes but hey, it works for flowers too right?  That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

I colored the images using Prismacolor Colored Pencils and silver for all of the foliage. The sentiments are from the 2017 Holiday kit - Scandinavian Holiday.

I was lovin' the colors so much I even colored a piece for the inside as well. I usually like to leave the inside of the card for correspondence but when this one gets sent I'll just have to write on a separate piece of paper.

I would like to submit this card to the following:

Imagine - VersaFine, On Point Glue
