TV news all day today, people! Wonder Woman's Gal Gadot is negotiating to lead Showtime's new series about famous Hollywood actress and super intelligent inventor HEDY LAMARR! Beside being the star of Hollywood's greatest hits in the 40's, for example Samson and Dalilah, she was also an inventor whose inventions led to WiFi and GPS. As 'Deadline' reports, Austrian born Lamarr started her career in Czechoslovakia in the early 1930s before leaving her husband, a wealthy Austrian ammunition manufacturer, and moving to Paris and London where she got signed by Metro Goldwyn Meyer. When it comes to her scientific works, at the beginning of World War II, she and composer George Antheil developed a radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes, which used spread spectrum and frequency.

Momoa will play Baba Voss, a fearless warrior, leader and guardian, in an epic, world building drama set in the future.

The ten part series will have the story set in a future when the human race has lost the sense of sight, and society has had to find new ways to interact, to build, to hunt, to survive. All of that is challenged when a set of twins with sight is born. This will be Momoa's third epic series after Frontier and Game of Thrones.

Beside playing the famous guard of the church called Quasimodo who is secretly in love with a gorgeous gipsy girl Esmeralda, Idris Elba will also produce the movie and write original songs for it! It is not so strange as he really did play as a DJ in a number of music festivals around Europe. The Current War director Michael Mitnick is set to helm the new adaptation of the French classic.

A few weeks ago I informed you that Timothee Chalamet is going to play Henry V in THE KING a new Netflix movie adaptation of Shake- speare's plays Henry IV and Henry V, which will deal with the king's youth, and now he is being joined by Joel Edgerton who will play his famous companion knight Falstaff who often appeared in his plays. She has just joined their new period set World War 2 series in which Emma Appleton plays a young woman who joins British civil service in 1945 and agrees to spy on her own government for the Americans. Luke Treadaway, Matt Lauria, Brandon P. Bell and Stephen Campbell Moore also star in the WW2 drama in which Keeley Hawes will play her exacting boss at the civil service, who becomes an unlikely role model of what a woman can achieve in a man's world. This means Keeley will have a series within the same year on each of UK's three biggest channels.

'HARROW ALLEY' 17TH CENTURY HORROR SERIES AT HBO

Meanwhile, another great British thespian Emma Thompson will produce a period set horror TV series based on a long lost script HARROW ALLEY over at HBO! The story is set during the black plague in the 17th century and follows an English town as it deteriorates. It revolves around the fortunes of two men, likeable but lawless rogue Ratsey and well meaning alderman Harry, who are both trying to survive the dangers of the time. The script was originally written by classic Hollywood writer Walter Newman and is often, as 'Deadline' reports, used in film classes becoming in certain way legendary.
