I'm not exactly sure why they're trying to stuff him everywhere these days, he could certainly use a bit more charisma and acting chops, but, according to Hollywood Reporter, it seems Timothee Chalamet is in talks to star in the new adaptation of Frank Herbert's seminal science fiction saga DUNE. He is, apparently, supposed to play young Paul Atreides in Denis Villeneuve directed movie. Don't know about you, but this cast would make me lose interest in the project.

DUNE, set in the far future amidst a sprawling feudal interstellar empire where planetary dynasties are controlled by noble houses that owe an allegiance to the imperial House Corrino, tells the story of young Paul Atreides (the son of Duke Leto Atreides and heir of House Atreides) as he and his family accept control of the desert planet Arrakis, the only source of the 'spice' melange, the most important and valuable substance in the cosmos which gives its users heightened consciousness and an extended lifespan.

Earlier this year the spy told you that Apple is preparing a number of major series, and now they've cast Jason Momoa in epic fantasy TV saga SEE from Taboo writer Steven Knight. Momoa will play Baba Voss, a fearless warrior, leader and guardian, in an epic, world building drama set in the future.

The ten part series will have the story set in a future when the human race has lost the sense of sight, and society has had to find new ways to interact, to build, to hunt, to survive. All of that is challenged when a set of twins with sight is born. This will be Momoa's third epic series after Frontier and Game of Thrones.

I told you last year that a television series is going to be made out of Isaac Asimov's sf classic FOUNDATION and it will be done by David S. Goyer who gave us Da Vinci's Demons and Krypton. And now it has been revealed that Apple is developing it with Skydance Television! The complex saga follows humans scattered on planets throughout the galaxy, all living under the rule of the Galactic Empire. The protagonist is a psycho-historian who has an ability to read the future and foresees the empire�s imminent collapse. He sets out to save the knowledge of mankind from being wiped out. Most of the famous sf films have been heavily influenced by this trilogy.
